Heartland Organizing came into being as a place for Sharon to use her natural inclination (yes, she was born organized), plus years of experience (called practice), plus systems and product knowledge (reading and shopping) to help busy people organize their work life so they can achieve balance and control in all areas of their lives in an increasingly demanding world.

In the mid-90’s Sharon read the book Do What You Love, the Money will Follow by Marsha Sinetar and loved that idea immensely.  After retirement from a career in education as a teacher and librarian, she was determined to help others as a Professional Organizer.

Sharon has a Master’s Degree in Information Media/Library Science.  She has been a practicing Professional Organizer since 2001 and is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO).  She is also an active member of the Minnesota chapter of NAPO, where she is Chairperson of the Awards and Recognition Committee, and a NAPO Golden Circle member.

Home is near Clearwater, Minnesota, where Sharon lives with her husband, Jim, in an organized home (that’s her space) with a not-so-organized garage (that’s his space).
